Alberta Blue Cross
T4Bi built a system in tight coordination with ABC that fit their technology infrastructure, and will enable optimal business practices, now and in the future.
Edmonton, AB
Client Profile
Alberta Blue Cross (ABC) is a non-for-profit organization providing supplementary health and dental benefits to over 1.6 million Albertans. ABC offers benefit plans for individuals and families, seniors, and large and small employers. ABC also administers health programs for provincial, territorial and federal governments.
The Challenge
The challenge was to manage co-development of a large enterprise application with ABC. Strict adherence to methods, standards and conventions were required as well as disciplined reporting and communication and coordination. A service oriented architecture enabled teams to work in parallel with limited interdependencies.
Solution Highlights
T4Bi was subcontracted to work with ABC and their in-house IT team, designing and implementing major mission critical enterprise applications for in-house use.
T4Bi methods and approaches emphasized coordination and communication, within the Project teams and across them. The Project follows strict architecture, methodology, security and QA standards for the size and complexity of application.
