Bycast Media Systems

Client Profile
In 3 months T4Bi delivered a “Market Server” database application, which manages content and rule data, as well as network security and transactional records."
The Challenge
Bycast needed a database application to store configuration, reference, endpoint, and rule information about content, and that would integrate with their very high-volume near real-time technologies.
Solution Highlights
In 3 months T4Bi delivered a “Market Server” database application, which holds content and rule data, as well as network security and transactional records. The Market Server application was integrated with Bycast’s network technology and achieves exceptional levels of scalability and availability.
Technologies Used
The Market Server application was interfaced with the real-time network technology via a “Transaction Engine”, which is a Java application service using low-level network traffic primitives to achieve the necessary throughput and response times. The Transaction Engine communicates with the Market Server via managed internal queues, and was architected to run in multiple instances on one or many servers, each of which may exist independently of the other.
Ready to Modernize?
Modern IT systems aren’t just about compliance — they’re about enabling agility, scalability, and cost efficiency. They’re also about making the right judgment calls: preserving and evolving what makes your business unique, while integrating or
standardizing what is simply a table-stake capability.
Every year, code maintenance costs average 25% of the original build. The opportunity cost of not modernizing is even higher. The real challenge is making architectural decisions that avoid over-engineering or platform lock-in — and ensure systems remain sustainable.
