Please have a look at the following documents on this Web site:
- KnowledgeFrame Technical Whitepaper, a short technical summary of the main concepts, artifacts and classes used in KF and applications.
- KnowledgeFrame Developer Guide, a detail description of the development approach, main project concepts and steps, and detailed descriptions of the most important Java packages, classes and methods.
- KnowledgeFrame Tutorial, a step-by-step tutorial describing individual steps to build and test a really simple mini-application in Eclipse and Tomcat.
- KnowledgeFrame Class Diagrams, UML class-association diagrams for core KnowledgeFrame data structures.
Additional documentation, scripts, and source code
for the KF Tutorial are distributed with the KF source code.
We are currently investigating several tools and techniques to
make development and documentation of KF applications faster, easier and better
integrated with other analytical, design and meta-data sources that companies
typically have. These efforts include:
- A customizable SQL repository of meta-data and business rule definitions, which the business users can maintain via intuitive Web interface.
- Possible integration with UML analytical and design tools, such as the excellent Enterprise Architect from SPARX Systems (http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/).
- XML formats for meta-data and rules representation and exchange.
As the results of this development, and project
experience, become available and stable, we will post them on our Web site.
To get involved in the process and share the development experience, please
