Client Profile
Metropolitan Regional Information Systems,
Inc. (MRIS) operates the largest online
real estate network in the United States, providing
services to over 40,000
licensed agents,
brokers, and appraisers in Maryland, Virginia,
Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware, and
the District of Columbia.
The Challenge
The extensibility engineered into the
MRIS Cornerstone product shifts the maintenance
and enhancement focus from writing code
to maintaining rules in data. This, in
turn, requires full security and release
management features. MRIS needed a full-featured
application that would allow administrators to manage
this reference, rule, and configuration data,
and which would provide different Roles for
end-users, coupled with highly intuitive
presentation and navigation
through very technical data. This application
is known as the Cornerstone Administration
Tool (CAT).
Solution Highlights
The CAT application is completely web-based
and integrated into the Cornerstone and Keystone systems with
no performance or design impact. This
tool is an invaluable aid to successfully
managing the Cornerstone application, and provides
different classes of Administrators and Customer Support staff
with the particular access and capability that they require.
End-to-end role-based security ensures proper access for
Administrators and Support staff, while protecting integrity of
Cornerstone data.
Technologies
Used
CAT was developed entirely using KnowledgeFrame.
